As the Communications Officer you will play a key role in executing the key campaigns and communications strategy. This includes delivering high-quality content, coordinating campaign events, managing branding and design outputs, and overseeing merchandise production and distribution The Role Deliver the UNSC Campaign Communications Strategy through content creation and stakeholder engagement Draft and edit communications materials, including media releases, speeches, social content, and campaign collateral Lead design and production of branded digital, print, and merchandise assets Coordinate campaign events and launches, covering logistics, branding, and stakeholder engagement Manage campaign merchandise: sourcing, design, distribution, inventory, and supplier coordination Oversee procurement and contracts for merchandise and design services, ensuring compliance with DFAT policies Liaise with Posts and Canberra-based teams to coordinate messaging and approvals Monitor communications performance and support reporting and evaluation Advise on strategic messaging, branding, and communications risks Contribute to internal communications and team planning initiatives You’ll be joining at an exciting time as Australia prepares its campaign for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council, offering a unique opportunity to be part of a broader strategic effort to elevate Australia’s influence globally. The Ideal Person You will have demonstrated experience at the APS6 or equivalent levels, with a background in communications, journalism, public relations. Experience in Adobe Creative Suite highly desirable.
