Project Management Officer South of the river, Perth 6 month contract - potential to be extended up to 12 months Our client is a national business who are leaders in their industry. The successful will candidate will drive the quality and pace of innovation projects, ensuring the organisation stays relevant and continues to meet the needs of both current and future clients. You will provide guidance and support to ensure identified partnerships are implemented efficiently and effectively. Key responsibilities: Ensure every meeting and presentation has a clear purpose and focuses on outcomes Mentor and coach Project Managers to define and track project scope, desired outcomes, business cases and overall impact Support teams in evaluating impact across functional areas Plan, lead and facilitate innovation sessions to generate and refine ideas Follow up on actions, commitments and business outcomes during and after the project phase Monitor the number of ongoing initiatives to maintain balance and focus across the portfolio Guide teams through the full innovation cycle using templates, frameworks and guidelines Set quality standards for business cases and ensure appropriate follow-up on projects Support the development of project management skills across the team to build capability Provide monthly status updates on projects including progress, priorities and outcomes Promote best practice sharing and collaboration across regions Track the expected and realised value of each project to measure impact and success Skills & experience: Proven ability to manage outcomes and expectations with senior business leaders and key stakeholders Excellent presentation skills and able to convey clear messages to diverse audiences Strong planning skills with the ability to keep a clear overview and ensure the right tasks are completed on time Proven track record as a project leader with experience in stakeholder management, business process improvement and delivering lasting results Practical approach to project management, action follow-up and results tracking Experience working with diverse teams and cultures, whether through international business relations or global work experience Skilled at tracking, flagging, and managing project risks - ensuring alignment of the project portfolio with available divisional and regional resources and priorities Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint Ability to communicate project status, achievements and lessons learned concisely to stakeholders.
