Synergie is seeking a Afternoon Shift Supervisor for a leading waste management company located in Laverton North, VIC $57.49 Per Hour (Flat Rate) Super 3-Month opportunity with potential for extension for the right candidate Monday to Friday | 1:30 PM – 9:51 PM What you will be required to do: As the Afternoon Shift Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations within the site. You’ll oversee a team of around 30 staff, provide leadership and support to operators, and maintain smooth workflow throughout the shift. Your responsibilities will include: Conducting risk assessments, preparing and reviewing Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) Issuing and signing off work permits for high-risk tasks Supervising incoming deliveries, vehicle movements, and front-end loader and forklift operations Providing hands-on support where needed to maintain workflow Monitoring site performance, safety, and environmental compliance Entering timesheets into Kronos and recording incidents or safety notes in MYOSH Ensuring all operations are completed efficiently and within company procedures Coaching, mentoring, and leading the team to meet production and safety goals To be successful in the role you will: Previous experience as a Supervisor within waste, construction, or manufacturing industries (highly regarded) Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage a team of 30 Computer proficiency – Word, Excel (data entry/basic formulas), and accurate data entry skills Forklift and/or Front-End Loader tickets (highly desirable) Strong understanding of OH&S and risk management procedures Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team What’s on offer for you: As a leading provider of temporary workforce we value all our employees and offer a weekly payrun, a commitment to working with our clients for safe working environments and consultants that care.
