What We’re Looking For: The Project Manager – Growth and Development Journey role has primary responsibility for managing Icon Water’s strategic focus area to “improve how we plan for growth”, which has two core elements: Improve the growth planning framework - so that we can proactively contribute to good urban planning for our community. Improve the developer journey - so that we can streamline approvals processes, improve the time to decision and enhance the developer experience while ensuring new and existing assets are safe, reliable and efficient. This will include introduction of performance measurement to monitor developer experience. About this role: The Project Manager will manage a number of the key components of the recently established strategic project to “improve how we plan for growth” and will be responsible for aspects of project delivery. This includes: Project leadership: manage the end-to-end delivery of this culture-led project, ensuring alignment with organisational values and strategic outcomes. Stakeholder engagement: build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, executive leadership, development industry groups/organisations and government directorates involved in the growth planning framework and developer journey. Project delivery: produce and/or review artefacts (eg. plans, analysis, papers) to contribute to relevant outcomes and deliverables. Consultant management: manage external consultants ensuring quality service delivery, milestones are met, budget is managed and knowledge is transferred to internal teams. Change management: implement change management strategies during the discovery and design phases of the project, that set the implementation phase up for success. Project management: including project plans, schedules, cost/benefits control, risk/issue registers and records management. Provide input to Strategy Implementation Program governance and control activities as appropriate. Governance and resource management: maintenance of governance for the strategic focus area, coordinating cross-functional efforts, managing resources and risks and ensuring alignment with the broader strategy implementation program. Who we are looking for: We’re seeking a dedicated individual who has Qualifications in a relevant discipline such as project management, engineering or equivalent and extensive experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects that focus on culture and change management, service design (human centred design, design thinking) and process design. You will also require: Experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management, across internal stakeholders, external industry groups/organisations and government. Experience in relevant areas of infrastructure planning or asset management would be desirable. Proven ability to manage external consultants, with a focus on quality of services.
