We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Body Builder to join our workshop team. This is a hands-on role for a tradesperson passionate about fabrication and custom vehicle builds, where your expertise will contribute directly to high-quality, precision-engineered outcomes. PLEASE NOTE; Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete an automated one way interview as part of the screening process. The Role: Fabricate and assemble truck bodies, including bull bars, taillight bars, and other custom components. Interpret technical drawings and job specifications to execute builds accurately. Perform welding and metalwork on aluminium and steel structures. Modify vehicle chassis and bodies to accommodate custom designs. Operate fabrication tools and machinery safely and efficiently. Collaborate with design and installation teams to ensure seamless project delivery. Conduct quality control checks to maintain high standards of workmanship. Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment in line with WHS policies. Fit hydraulics, electrical systems, and pneumatic components as required. The candidate: 2–5 years in vehicle body building, fabrication, or similar metalworking trade. Experience with heavy vehicles, trailers, or custom vehicle bodies desirable. Familiarity with low-volume, high-quality production environments is a plus Proficient in MIG/TIG welding and metal fabrication. Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings and technical plans. Skilled in safe use of hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery. Knowledge of vehicle body structures and modification techniques. Basic experience with hydraulics, electrical systems, and pneumatic components.
