The key duties of the position include From 1 December 2025 AIHW's organisational structure will change. The Corporate Strategy and Performance Division will be home to all AIHW corporate services. The Information and Communications Technology Group (ICTG) will be part of the Corporate Strategy and Performance Division. The ICTG is looking for an EL1 ICT Finance and Procurement Manager who will be responsible for managing the ICT budget and procurement practice. This is an important role that will help establish proactive budgeting practices and provide specialised ICT procurement advice. The role also has responsibility for ICT asset management, ensuring the management of our ICT assets is aligned to the AIHW strategic directions. Under general direction you will: Manage the ICT budget, procurement and asset management functions. Ensure proactive management of spend against budget, providing updated forecasts and guidance. Develop and implement financial reporting processes, tracking plan budgets against actual costs. Proactively monitor and track assets and contracts to facilitate Conduct complex procurement activities with a focus on ICT and use significant judgement to support compliance, technical advisory services, planning, approaching the market, evaluation and contract negotiations with internal and external stakeholders. Provide expert, practical and timely ICT procurement and contract management advice to projects and ICTG unit heads. Ensuring high levels of compliance with legislative, financial and administrative frameworks, in particular the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013. Consider and effectively manage competing priorities and strategic directions in line with AIHW goals and objectives. Supervise and manage staff and provide expert advice and assistance to team members to ensure that asset management and procurement and commercial policies and procedures are designed and applied to achieve the best possible outcomes. Develop and maintain proactive vendor management practices to ensure we continue to achieve value for money and meet AIHW goals and objectives.
