Who we are The First Nations Clean Energy Facilitation Branch supports acceleration of Australia's clean energy transition by streamlining approvals, improving policy, and fostering strong partnerships. We work with First Nations communities, industry, and governments to ensure the transition delivers shared economic, social, and environmental benefits, grounded in cultural integrity and genuine engagement. The Community Engagement Review Response Section leads the implementation of the Government's response to the 2023 Community Engagement Review. Our work focuses on improving social licence outcomes for renewable energy infrastructure through initiatives such as the Developer Rating Scheme and regional communications policy. We collaborate with jurisdictions, industry, and communities to uplift developer capability, enhance community benefits, and ensure transparent and inclusive engagement practices across the energy transition. The key duties of the position include • Act as technical adviser on ratings schemes to DCCEEW and support the Government's contractual, governance and operational responsibilities in relation to the Scheme. • Lead the implementation of the Developer Rating Scheme, including oversight of Scheme design, rollout, and stakeholder engagement. • Deliver the Government's engagement and awareness activities including collateral development, public register launch, and national outreach. • Provide strategic advice to Ministers, senior executives, and cross-jurisdictional stakeholders. • Represent the Department in a range of forums to support Scheme awareness.
