Senior Project Coordinator Salary: $138,631 - $185,518 (Plus Superannuation) Fixed term until 30 June 2027 Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available) Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne CBD (flexibility may be available) The Role A Senior Project Coordinator is required to support the Investment Coordinator-General Branch. The role of the Investment Coordinator-General includes: Monitoring a whole of government catalogue of priority project investments (both foreign and domestic opportunities), to improve oversight of all active investments in the state that are going through regulatory approvals and accountability of assessment processes and decision timelines. Regular reporting to Cabinet and associated committees to improve coordination and assist economic development outcomes in Victoria. Escalation of project issues and unresolved/competing government priorities within government, as required. The position reports to the Investment Coordinator-General within the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions. The role is a priority action of the Victorian Government's Economic Growth Statement released in December 2024. As a senior member of the team the successful applicant will assist the Investment Coordinator-General to monitor priority project investments, collaborating across government with facilitation teams and regulators, and working with industry and the private sector to achieve timely decision making. Main accountabilities: Support the Investment Coordinator-General to maintain and oversee a whole of government catalogue of eligible investment projects that are going through Victorian regulatory approvals, including obtaining regular status updates from other government facilitation teams and regulators and collating reports and dashboards. Support the Investment Coordinator-General with regular reporting to Cabinet and/or associated committees on the status of investment projects and to identify streamlining and reform opportunities to assist investment attraction and economic development outcomes in Victoria. Support the Investment Coordinator-General to partner with investment managers, facilitation teams and regulators within DJSIR and across government, via the Priority Projects Working Group, to improve oversight and accountability of the development assessment process and facilitate quicker decision making to secure investments. About You Use yourhighly developed organisation and project management skills, including attention to detail, the ability to plan, prioritise and coordinate tasks and expertise in using project management methodologies and tools to track progress to achieve the objectives of this role. You will continue to gain extensive experience across government working with central agencies, departments/agencies and regulators on complex and state significant projects, using your demonstrated experience in negotiation and resolution and a good understanding of the planning and regulatory environment.
