Senior Executive Service Level 1 (SES-1) position, Fixed Term up to 5 Years The Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR) is seeking to appoint a Director, Digital and Marketing to join its team. This role leads several cross-disciplinary divisional branches and is accountable for the overall direction and delivery of an innovative, high-quality, and effective strategic communications function for all departmental groups. The Strategic Communications branch is focused on building the department's reputation and delivering on its purpose by raising the profile of key initiatives, investments and programs. The Branch is responsible for: the department's communications policy, governance and advice; delivery of media pipelines, communications strategy and issues management; corporate communications support for DJSIR inclusive of internal, corporate and emergency communications, and * providing selected communications services on a cost recovery basis. Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, and as an integral member of the Strategic Communications senior leadership team, the Director will provide authoritative and expert advice, leadership and strategic direction to all departmental groups, particularly Deputy Secretaries/Chief Executives, DJSIR Executive Board including the Secretary, Ministers and ministerial office staff on major departmental and government communications objectives and will position DJSIR as a leader in government communications standards. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience, knowledge, and high-level understanding of the valuable role of digital, marketing and advertising, brand, content, creative and governance/protocol to deliver on divisional, departmental and government objectives.
