Grapeland Pty Ltd is a significant table grape grower based in Robinvale, Victoria. The business has been growing high-quality fruit and vegetables since 1978, and currently produces 11 varieties of table grapes. Grapeland Pty Ltd supplies produce to the national supermarkets as well as for export. The business is seeking a full-time qualified Irrigation Assistant. The salary offered is $76,515 per annum plus superannuation. Providing support to the Irrigationist, the Irrigation Assistant will be responsible for the following: · Determine hydraulic parameters for an irrigation system · Implement and irrigation-related program · Schedule irrigations · Select and manage pumping systems for irrigation · Interpret and apply irrigation designs · Supervise irrigation system installations · Supervise irrigation maintenance The applicants will have the following skills and experience: AQF Certificate II in the horticulture, viticulture or in a related field with 1 year of experience (working 20 hours per week) Practical experience as a farm worker within in Agriculture/Horticulture or Forestry industry Ability to operate wide range of farm and plant machinery including tractors and pump Knowledge and experience of agricultural production principles Excellent communication skills Driver’s licence Suitable agricultural or horticultural qualifications and/or experience Ability to work unsupervised or as a part of a team Job Type: Full-time Pay: $76,515.00 per year Work Location: In person
