The Role The ALS Mackay, Environmental business is seeking a casual (Rostered up to 5 days a week) Logistics Officer to provide strong value add service in this diverse all-rounder role. This position will truly expand your CV with client service, sample receipting, sample preparation and logistics services as a valued member of the local ALS Mackay team, driven by a passion for client service excellence. The day to day Responsibilities include: Greet and support clients’ needs leveraging phone, email and face to face service and communication skills Promptly answer phone calls and emails professionally to support client enquiries Complete testing sample bottle preparation Coordinating the receipt and dispatch of client samples to ALS Environmental laboratories, including liaising with laboratory staff when urgent samples are received Sorting, packing, labelling, and distributing samples by courier or for pick up Ensuring sample deliveries and chain of custody documentation is reviewed, triaged, labelled and distributed within designated timeframes and according to client needs and approved sample receipt procedures Liaise with clients (internal and external) in regard to sample submissions and related queries Maintain sample storage and disposal by following safe work practices.
