Description About the Role We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Field Sales Manager to join our Adelaide team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, primarily with SME customers (Small to Medium Enterprise), with a strong focus on freight forwarding and logistics services. You will manage sales pipelines, prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and support the successful implementation of new customer accounts while building and maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships. Additionally, you will support trade lane development initiatives, develop and execute customer retention and growth plans, and stay informed on industry trends to identify new opportunities. This position plays a key role in driving growth, optimising the logistics value chain, and generating new revenue opportunities through DP World’s comprehensive range of products and services. Key Accountabilities: Drive targeted sales, lead negotiations, and close profitable deals while maintaining accurate CRM records. Build and manage a strong sales pipeline aligned with business strategy, including lead generation and forecasting. Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell within specific verticals or geographies to maximise revenue. Plan sales activities, set targets, and track KPIs, budgets, and forecasts to support business objectives. Maintain regular engagement with prospective and existing customers through phone and face-to-face meetings. Collaborate with commercial teams, subject matter experts, and operations to deliver optimal outcomes and add value to customers. Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 5-10 year’s experience in Field Sales, Business Development within freight forwarding or related industries. Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, including pricing, rate cards, and customer solutions. Skilled in lead generation, building high-retention relationships, and expanding into new markets. Highly organised with the ability to manage priorities, work under pressure, and deliver consultative sales. Advanced communication, negotiation, and commercial acumen with strong pipeline planning skills. Process-driven, proactive, computer literate, and committed to quality, accurate reporting, and a safe working environment.
