Location: Sydney, NSW Engagement Type: Subcontractor (Wet Hire) Company: Sathath Solutions / Sydney Quality Crane Hire About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Crane Operator Subcontractor to join our team on a project-by-project basis. The ideal candidate will have strong operational experience with 3 tonne spider cranes and the ability to work efficiently across both residential and commercial sites in Sydney and surrounding areas. You will represent our company on-site, so professionalism, safety awareness, and clear communication with clients and site personnel are essential. Key Responsibilities Operate and manoeuvre a 3 tonne spider crane safely and confidently in tight or complex environments. Set up, rig, and pack down the crane in accordance with manufacturer specifications and site requirements. Work closely with site managers, riggers, and lifting crews to execute lifts efficiently and safely. Comply with all WHS regulations, site induction procedures, and lifting plans. Conduct pre-start inspections and report any faults or incidents immediately. Maintain a clean and professional work area and represent the company to a high standard. Essential Requirements Current High Risk Work Licence (C2 or higher) applicable to crane operations. Proven experience operating mini / spider cranes (3 T class) in residential and commercial environments. Own public liability and workers compensation insurance (must provide certificates of currency before engagement). White Card (Construction Induction). Reliable vehicle and ability to travel to various sites around Sydney. Excellent communication skills and a strong safety focus. Desirable Dogging/Rigging ticket. Experience working with steel fabricators, glass installers, or lifting companies. Understanding of Australian Standards for lifting and crane operations.
