In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling and conducting inspections of subdivision construction works and private developments to ensure compliance with approved engineering plans, specifications, and relevant standards. You will provide ongoing monitoring throughout the construction phase to ensure that all activities are completed in accordance with safety requirements and environmental management plans. This includes ensuring compliance with dust, noise, vibration and other environmental controls to protect the interests of both the Council and the community, in line with applicable state guidelines and local regulations. To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in road construction materials, methods, and stormwater systems, along with strong verbal communication and negotiation skills. Completion of relevant training in asphalt and road construction will be highly regarded. Previous experience in civil construction, particularly in roles such as site supervisor, leading hand, or road construction operator, will be considered an advantage. Knowledge of stormwater systems, pipe laying techniques and construction materials. Demonstrated experience in supervising subdivision civil works to ensure compliance with approved engineering drawings, technical specifications and statutory requirements.
