Your Impact We are accepting expressions of interest for future opportunities at our iconic Yatala Brewery. As a Mechanical Fitter within the Brewing Department, you will work closely with a team of production operators, electricians, planners, and brewers to help deliver on our vision to bring enjoyment and connection to everyday moments in life. The role involves supporting the production of our iconic beverages by executing planned and preventative maintenance activities, attending to mechanical breakdowns, participating in problem-solving for continuous improvement, and conducting mechanical repairs & replacement. Key Responsibilities Perform mechanical maintenance tasks (60-70% of the time), including scheduled and breakdown maintenance, as well as root-cause problem-solving. Conduct repairs and replacements of mechanical equipment including grain handling equipment, mills, pumps, centrifuges, filters, hygienic mixproof and isolation valves, agitators, heat exchangers, and more. Ensure brewing mechanical equipment is set up and operating efficiently, minimizing downtime and improving reliability. Maintain and enhance preventative maintenance programs within your area of responsibility, including the use of SAP PM. Collaborate across teams, including manufacturing engineers, tradespeople, and planners, to address production issues and implement solutions. Contribute to a safe and sustainable workplace by adhering to safety, environmental, and quality standards. About You We're on the lookout for a reliable and motivated team player that’s ready to take on new challenges in this role. You also bring: A trade qualification in a mechanical trade (fitting, turning, machining). Experience with hygienic liquid processing, ideally in FMCG or similar environments. Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, attention-to-detail, and continuous improvement skills with a structured approach to problem-solving. Proficiency in CMMS – exposure to SAP and Microsoft Office is beneficial. The ability to adapt to various tasks and challenges while maintaining a proactive attitude. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment. Availability for 9.5 hour shifts on an 8-day fortnight: Every Wed/Thu/Fri and every second Sat/Sun, or Every Mon/Tue/Wed and every second Sat/Sun. Why Asahi Beverages?
