This is a Mackay based role, no trips over the hill required. We are looking to secure the services of an experienced & qualified Diesel Mechanic/Truck Mechanic who takes pride in maintaining machinery to the highest standard and wants to work alongside a team that values safety, reliability, and technical excellence. Your strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and positive attitude will contribute to our continued success while having a real impact on our customers outcomes. Main Duties and Responsibilities · Servicing, repairs, and diagnostic work of our Civil equipment, Truck & Highway Trucks · Developing and implementing preventative maintenance schedules · Mentor and coach assigned apprentices · Accurate paperwork and maintenance of records · Assist in coordinating and managing contractors and suppliers · Completing work to a high standard · Assist in developing fleet maintenance history · Work autonomously and unsupervised · Follow company policies, procedures, and safe work practices Skills & Qualifications · Strong commitment to health and safety · Trade Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Diesel Fitter · Experience with maintenance and servicing of variety of truck models – Hino, Isuzu, Freightliner, Sitrak, · Experience with Vac Truck and civil equipment maintenance will be highly regarded · Knowledge and experienced in diagnostics, repair and maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic, diesel systems, auto electrical, air conditioning and hydraulic repairs. · HR and Forklift licence highly regarded Benefits We Offer · Work for an experienced committed team where you are valued · Diversity in daily activities – no two days the same. · Great staff discounts from across the SCIG group · Opportunities to upskill and career progression Part of the Southern Cross Industrial Group: Pit Master OEM Division : OEM Pit Master LED Lighting Tower Manufacturing.
