We’re looking for a HR Partner to join our People Services team on a 12-month contract commencing in early 2026. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the complexity and impact of employee relations, performance management, and case work , rather than general HR administration. The Opportunity As a HR Partner, you’ll provide trusted, practical advice to leaders across Urban Utilities, helping them navigate workplace issues with confidence and care. You’ll manage employee relations cases, guide investigations, and play a hands-on role in shaping fair and consistent people outcomes. You’ll join a collaborative, experienced HR team that values professional expertise, open communication, and doing meaningful work that genuinely supports our people. What You’ll Do Manage and resolve complex people matters including performance, conduct and workplace investigations. Provide expert advice on disciplinary processes, performance management and medical incapacity. Partner with leaders to assess people risks and support timely, fair and compliant outcomes. Contribute to HR projects that improve governance, process and capability. Analyse HR data to identify trends and support evidence-based decision making. Develop leader capability through advice, coaching and toolkits. Support and mentor HR Coordinators on escalated case and policy matters. About You You’re a confident, pragmatic HR professional with a solid grounding in employee relations and case management . You bring professional judgement, empathy and the ability to balance compliance with care. You’ll also bring: Strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and enterprise agreements . Experience advising on employee entitlements, workplace investigations, and disciplinary processes. The ability to build credibility and trust through timely, informed and practical advice.
