About the Role: We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical/Diesel Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy machinery, diesel engines, and mechanical equipment used in [mining/construction/manufacturing/transport, etc.]. Key Responsibilities: · Inspect, diagnose, and repair faults in diesel engines and mechanical systems. · Perform routine maintenance on mobile and fixed plant equipment. · Service hydraulic systems, transmissions, brakes, and cooling systems. · Dismantle and reassemble machinery and components. · Maintain accurate maintenance records and job cards. · Adhere to workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations and company policies. · Work independently or as part of a team in workshop or field service environments. · Respond to breakdowns and perform fault finding and troubleshooting. · Operate tools, equipment, and diagnostic systems safely and effectively. Skills and Qualifications : · Proven experience as a Diesel Fitter or Mechanical Fitter. · Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. · High attention to detail and mechanical aptitude. · Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals. · Current driver’s licence (HR licence an advantage). · Forklift, EWP, or other relevant high-risk work licences (desirable). · Experience in [mining, construction, transport, agriculture, etc.] sectors is advantageous.
