Our Support Workers support our customers as they shape and improve their lives. They create opportunities, are champions of possibility and inspire partnerships of support that encourage every individual to realise the possibilities available to them. Your role as a Disability Support Worker may include: Assisting clients with activities in the community; including shopping, short trips, park visits, etc. Personal care; showering, dressing, grooming and assisting with clients’ medication Monitoring customers’ well-being and reporting on their progress Assisting with Daily Activities; Grocery shopping, meal preparation and cooking meals, travelling to medical/specialist appointments Participating in staff meetings and attending training (where required) About You Be 18 Previous Support Work experience is beneficial Ability to build and maintain positive relationships Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience supporting individuals with behaviours of concerns or communication difficulties is desirable Your current resume and cover letter outlining your skills and experience (to help us match you with the right participants and build meaningful connections, we encourage you to include your hobbies, skills and interests in your Resume or Cover Letter) What You Need: The successful applicant will be required to hold or be willing to obtain; Current driver's license Full COVID 19 vaccinations NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (yellow card) Working with children check (blue card) Current First Aid and CPR Certificate NDIS Worker Orientation Modules Certificate Cert III or IV in the following: Individual Support Disability Own car with full comprehensive insurance Able to legally work in Australia Who We Are?
