Point Care is a dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities. Position Summary: provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plan. Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing and grooming. Provide transportation assistance to clients. Provide respite care to clients and their families. Keep accurate and up to date records or clients' care plans and progress. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team. Follow health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of clients. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field. Requirements Immediate availability – can start as early as Monday, November 10 Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent education Certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support, Disability, Mental Health, Aged Care, or other relevant qualifications Lived or paid experience supporting people with disability Willingness to work sleepover shifts as part of a rotating schedule Strong understanding of the NDIS framework, principles, and participant rights Knowledge of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining safe work practices Ability to support clients from diverse backgrounds, with sensitivity to cultural, linguistic, and individual needs Basic care and first aid skills to ensure client safety and wellbeing Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong general computer literacy for record-keeping and reporting Reliability and commitment – we need someone who can commit to their shifts and will not cancel at the last minute Benefits Access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
