WHO YOU ARE You are a skilled and motivated Leading Hand who effectively leads a small site team while ensuring safety, quality, and clear communication. Proven experience in construction projects with hands-on involvement Holder of Construction Induction Card (CIC)/White Card Current Driver’s Licence Licensed forklift operator with valid Forklift Licence (LF) Verified competency for Scissor Lift operation Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Licence holder Training and competency in Working at Heights Physically capable of performing manual tasks using best-practice manual handling techniques over extended periods Proficient in handling hand and power tools with strong problem-solving skills Strong communication skills to clearly liaise between workers and management Demonstrated ability to supervise daily tasks, ensure site safety and maintain cleanliness Committed to leading by example and fostering a positive, professional site culture WHAT YOU’LL DO Supervise and support a small site team to safely and efficiently complete daily tasks Interpret plans and carry out practical building tasks like carpentry, steelwork, and general labouring Manage daily schedules and ensure tools, equipment, and materials are used properly Safely load, unload, and move materials around the site Keep the site clean and organized, setting up safe work zones as needed Perform basic site maintenance such as cleaning and minor repairs Enforce safety procedures and ensure PPE is worn correctly Act as the communication link between workers and management Conduct quality checks on tools, equipment, and work progress Lead by example, resolving issues promptly to keep work on schedule WHAT’S NEXT If you are interested in this position, please submit your CV and cover letter which describes who you are and addresses the criteria detailed above.
