WHO YOU ARE You are a proactive and qualified Assistant Project Manager with hands-on experience in construction project delivery, subcontractor coordination, and on-site leadership. Relevant qualification in Building & Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or related field Relevant on-site experience delivering mid to large-scale commercial, residential, or mixed-use construction projects Deep understanding of project delivery sequencing, subcontractor coordination, and real-time issue resolution Familiarity with construction contract terms, compliance obligations, and safety legislation Proven ability to manage teams in live delivery environments with strong communication and leadership skills Proficiency in project and site management software (Hammertech, Procore, MS Project, Aconex etc) Strong organisational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks effectively Capacity to make decisions under pressure and identify risks or savings opportunities Experience reviewing management plans, HSEQ requirements, and statutory compliance Commitment to mentoring junior staff and fostering collaborative stakeholder relationships WHAT YOU’LL DO Assist leading project delivery ensuring alignment with program, budget, and contract requirements Oversee site activities with Site Manager, monitor progress, and resolve delays or conflicts promptly Implement and maintain HSEQ requirements, review management plans, and ensure site compliance Procure packages, vet subcontractors, and coordinate suppliers for timely material delivery Maintain on-site presence, engage stakeholders, identify risks, and drive mitigation strategies Report on programme, costs, safety, quality; identify savings and manage close-out activities Maintain site records, update documentation, ensure version control, and liaise with administration Oversee subcontractor performance, manage claims, variations, EOTs, and compliance documentation Evaluate subcontractors on delivery, safety, and quality performance Mentor team with one-on-ones, foster collaboration across departments and stakeholders Champion accountability, teamwork, professional development, and adhere to DCOH Code of Conduct WHAT’S NEXT If you are interested in this position, please submit your CV and cover letter which describes who you are and addresses the criteria detailed above.
