About the role As a Travel Advisor at the Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre (TTIC), you'll be part of a dynamic team that helps visitors explore the best of Tasmania. This customer-facing role is all about delivering exceptional service, promoting local tourism experience, and supporting the City's goal of increasing visitor yield and dispersal. Role accountabilities include: Provide tailored travel advice and booking services across in-person and online channels. Promote and sell Tasmanian tourism experiences and retail products to visitors. Process reservations and financial transactions with accuracy and professionalism. Collaborate with team members to meet sales targets and deliver a high-quality visitor experience. Maintain a polished and welcoming presence that reflects TTIC's customer service standards. You'll bring: A Certificate III qualification (or equivalent experience) in tourism, customer service or a related field. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds Experience using Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn reservation systems. Attention to detail and confidence in handling cash and card transactions.
