About this role: This role has primary responsibility for developing and deploying the Icon Water Operational Readiness programme to deliver safe and reliable services to the Canberra community. The asset portfolio for this role includes all new assets designed, constructed under the Icon Water investment, Planning and Delivery (IPaD) capital works process. The IPaD process delivers projects, the subset Operational Readiness process ensures effective development of maintenance strategy, CMMS database maintenance activities, work instructions, operational and maintenance manuals, drawings and spare parts all be available before project handover to operations and maintenance teams. The Operational Readiness framework has been developed, documented and approved although requires rollout and training across the organisation, this will be the role of the successful candidate in conjunction with Icon Water Project Delivery teams. Secondary responsibility includes supporting the four Reliability Team Programme Engineers (Linear Networks, Water Treatment Plants, Sewerage Treatment Plants and Bulk Water and Dam assets) and wider Icon Water stakeholders as reliability subject matter experts. Expertise shall be provided across asset portfolio’s with tools, systems and approaches such as reliability centred maintenance, common Asset Strategy and variants, Weibull analysis, root cause analysis, Asset Health inspections to WSAA and IPEWA guidelines, Reliability Block Diagrams, defect elimination and condition monitoring. The role also involves adopting innovative new reliability practices such as “predictive analytics to forecast asset risk and investment”, a leading approach across the Australian Water Utilities. What We’re Looking For: The Reliability Improvement Engineer role is part of the Infrastructure Reliability & Performance Branch within the Infrastructure Services Group. The Branch is committed to developing and implementing leading asset management approaches to maximise asset reliability and performance in the challenging environment of balancing aging assets and customer requirements. Who we are looking for: We’re seeking a dedicated individual, enthusiastic to implement leading reliability practices at Icon Water. They should have Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline and experience in an industrial, manufacturing or utility service delivery environment. Water Utility Plant experience is also desirable. You will also need: The ability to live the Icon Water leadership principles to build trust, demonstrate integrity and lead by example to create a positive culture. Capital Project development experience preferred in all aspects of IPaD including identify, envisage, evaluate, plan, develop, execute and monitor. A balance of trade and engineering experience providing a trades perspective of the requirements from a maintenance programme, plus strong analytical skills to enabling science/ engineering-based decision making. Strong systems and digital capability, including demonstrated skills in SQL (or similar), Power BI programming, and mobility solutions; exposure to CMMS or other enterprise asset management systems such as OnePM, OnePM Connect as an advanced user (desirable). Demonstrated experience in preventative and predictive maintenance strategies, reliability techniques, tools, and systems (e.g. RCM, Weibull, RCA, FMECA, Asset Health, Reliability Block Diagrams and defect elimination) with the ability to develop and implement industry leading practices. Proven experience in assessing asset health, performance, and condition of equipment common to utilities or similar environments. Knowledge and/or experience in condition monitoring techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and alignment. Working knowledge of ISO 55001 requirements.
