Construction Project Manager – Canberra, ACT $110K–$120K Base Salary Company Car, Fuel Card & Phone Performance Bonus Canberra, ACT | Full-Time | No RDOs About the Role We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to take the lead on major lift and modernization projects across the ACT and Southern NSW. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will manage New Equipment (NE) and Modernisation (MOD) contracts , ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget . This is a hands-on, leadership-focused role where you will oversee project teams, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with relevant codes, Australian Standards, and company procedures. You will also have responsibility for coaching, mentoring, and developing field teams to deliver high-quality outcomes. This position offers a competitive base salary of $110K–$120K , a company car with fuel card, phone, and annual bonus potential up to $50,000 . Additionally, if project performance exceeds expectations, further quarterly incentives of up to $10,000 are available. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage multiple construction and modernization projects from planning through to commissioning. Ensure project teams maintain approved site programs , attend site meetings, and meet project milestones. Set project objectives, allocate resources, and monitor performance and staffing requirements. Maintain accurate project documentation , including site diaries, QA reports, timesheets, and contract records. Liaise with internal teams (Sales, Contract Management, Operations) and external stakeholders, including builders, consultants, and inspectors . Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and authorities to deliver innovative and compliant solutions . Recruit, train, and mentor technical teams to maintain a high-performance workforce. Manage all aspects of on-site safety , including toolbox talks, audits, and pre-start processes. Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues , providing updates to senior management. Participate in project reviews , ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and financial targets. About You Bachelor’s degree in Building, Engineering, Construction Management , or a related field. Electrical or Mechanical Trade Certification highly regarded . Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a supervisory or project management role, ideally within the lift, construction, or mechanical services industry . Demonstrated leadership and team management skills with experience coaching and mentoring technical staff. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills , both written and verbal. Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously . Proactive, self-motivated, and able to make decisions autonomously while maintaining safety and quality standards.
