Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Services Senior Accountant to manage a portfolio of clients, oversee accounting and compliance work, and contribute to advisory services. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with partners and managers, providing exposure to a wide variety of clients and industries. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts, and budgets for clients. Oversee compliance obligations including income tax, GST, payroll tax, and Self-Managed Super Fund. Assist with business advisory projects, including cash flow management, business planning, and process improvement. Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, ensuring high-quality outputs and professional development. Liaise directly with clients to provide technical advice and build strong, lasting relationships. Identify opportunities to add value to clients’ businesses through advisory and consulting services. Support partners and managers with client engagements and firm initiatives. Stay up-to-date with relevant accounting standards, tax legislation, and industry developments. Key Requirements: Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA qualified. 2–5 years’ experience in a business services role within an accounting firm. Strong technical knowledge of accounting, taxation, and business advisory. Excellent communication and client relationship skills. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a small-firm environment.
