About the Position Our Nowra site is filled with a welcoming and social team. We are seeking Plant Operators with a can-do attitude and strong work ethic to join us. If you enjoy working across different equipment and machinery, we are interested in talking to you. You will complete range of tasks to assist in our production processes and will be involved in end-to-end production, playing a key part in producing high quality timber products. We are looking for candidates who are available to pick up day shifts at the below times: Monday to Thursday 6:00am – 4:20pm Enjoy a long weekend every week as we don’t run on Fridays. We are offering a competitive hourly rate of $25.85 Super. Key responsibilities include but not limited to: Playing a key part in the production of high-quality timber products. The use of various fix plant machinery including circular and band saws, automatic stacking equipment, gas fired kilns & moulders. Assisting with the grading our products, identifying defects and accurately sawing and measuring. Moving, sorting and strapping timber to process for shipping and delivery. General labouring and timber mill duties including ensuring the work area is clean and free of debris on an ongoing basis. Inventory management to ensure a smooth production line with no delays, hold ups issues. Having a constant focus on health & safety across all areas of our site. To be successful in this role you will have: Previous experience in machine operating, labouring, manual handling or in a production environment is highly desirable. A positive attitude at work, whilst being reliable and punctual. A strong commitment to safety is essential. Knowledge of the timber industry is favourable. Be physically fit, with the ability to manually handle various sizes of timber product. The ability to work effectively within a team environment and produce work to a high standard.
