See more at our website - www.atsichsbrisbane.org.au Job Description About the role While working under the guidance of the Environmental Services Officer the Groundsperson / Maintenance Officer would manage the coordination and maintenance of facilities/ They will work autonomously to ensure all Jimbelunga facilities and assets are safely functioning and maintained within a best-practice framework. Duties Ensure all building and properties are maintained to the highest level, including safeguarding from any potential damage or loss. Responsible for the maintenance of the JNC grounds and gardens. Ensure all company furniture, plant and equipment assets are properly maintained and safeguarded from any potential damage or loss. Provide quality administration support to the facilities service provision. Provide quality Maintenance to the Jimbelunga facility. Cultivate productive working relationships at all levels. Work for the community -controlled organisation. Desired Skills and Experience COVID - 19 Requirement Immunisation history showing you have received two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine is encouraged. Required A demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander societies and their cultures and a general understanding of the issues that are affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in contemporary Australian society. A demonstrated record of punctuality, able to use sound judgement and able to work unsupervised. Ability to develop and sustain harmonious working relationships with key stakeholders. Satisfactory communication skills, both written and verbal. A demonstrated ability to interpret and implement Workplace Health and Safety requirements when performing tradesperson responsibilities. Demonstrated experience in facilities management including maintenance, services and upgrades. Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes. Understanding of plants, pet management and chemical handling. Ability to support and manage a continuous improvement model for achieving outcomes.
