About the Role: As a member of the Licensing Team, the Licensing Officer is responsible for assessing, reviewing and processing all licence and registration applications and renewals in the state of Victoria, as required by the Electricity Safety (Registration & Licensing) Regulations 2020. This role also requires excellence in responding to queries and providing various services to electricity professionals and those seeking to be licensed and develop their skills. You will contribute by: Assess and process applications for licensing and registration (including renewal) of all electrical licence types in Victoria. Maintain the integrity and accuracy of all Licensing registers/database relating to registration of electrical contractors, licensing of electrical workers, electrical inspectors, registration of spotters and line workers. Establish and maintain professionalism when dealing with contractors and licence holders and liaise with applicants to ensure resolution of application in line with regulatory requirements. Demonstrate effective and high level customer service when providing advice to member of the general public and industry with regard to licensing and registration requirements. Process payments, issue receipt and assist with reconciliation as required. Ensure prompt response to queries relating to licensing requirements and processes received over the telephone, in writing , including walk-in enquiries. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of licensing and registration requirements by keeping abreast of relevant regulations, obligations, approved training bodies and processes. Perform general administration and reception related tasks, including effective triage of phone enquiries in a high-volume call centre team environment. Other relevant duties as required.
