Coonawarra Region, Full Time, Agriculture / Horticulture Vacancy Listing Dates 11/11/2025 to 9/12/2025 Please Quote Reference Number 14276 Skilled Agricultural Technician wanted Full time opportunity Join Topfield Farms Pty Ltd Topfield Farms Pty Ltd are currently seeking an experienced Agricultural Technician to join their team in a full time role working (38 hours a week), based in the Coonawarra Region, South Australia. Duties and Responsibilities: Operate and maintain agricultural spraying equipment, including Hardy Navigator and self-propelled sprayers. Safely mix, load, and apply agricultural chemicals in line with ChemCert, WHS, and environmental compliance standards. Calibrate booms, nozzles, and pressure systems to ensure accurate application. Perform daily pre-start checks and routine preventative maintenance on spray machinery. Maintain accurate spray diaries, including chemical usage, application rates, timing, and paddock coverage. Monitor crop health and identify early signs of pest, weed, or disease issues. Collect and record data on soil, crop, and pest conditions to support farm management and compliance reporting. Assist with basic field trials and monitoring to improve crop performance and sustainability outcomes. Prepare summaries and reports on application results, crop health, and environmental observations for management review. Work closely with the Managing Director and farm team to coordinate spraying schedules. Comply with all workplace safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Applicants must have at least one year of relevant experience and hold an Advanced Diploma or Diploma. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications. Additional requirements include: ChemCert accreditation (or ability to obtain within 3 months of employment). HR or HC class driver's licence (or willingness to acquire). Demonstrated experience operating agricultural spraying machinery. Knowledge of both broadacre cropping and horticultural production systems. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance. Competence in record-keeping and compliance documentation. Understanding of WHS standards and environmental management requirements. Strong communication skills, reliability, and capacity to work independently.
