About the Role We’re seeking an enthusiastic Membership Assistant to provide prompt and professional service to RAS Members across phone, email and in-person channels, while supporting day-to-day administration of membership products and services. You’ll play a hands-on role in processing applications and renewals, member card distribution, daily reconciliations, and member engagement - especially during the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Key Responsibilities Respond to enquiries from new, existing and prospective Members by phone, email and in-person, delivering friendly, efficient service. Process membership applications and renewals, including EFTPOS/cash handling and accurate data entry; reconcile daily transactions. Coordinate member card distribution and assist with member functions and promotions during the Show. Follow RAS policies, procedures and customer service standards. About You Organised multi-tasker with excellent time management, attention to detail and a “can-do” attitude. Team-oriented, adaptable and reliable; calm under pressure and committed to great service. Clear written and verbal communicator with sound numeracy and basic accounting understanding. Qualifications & Experience Essential 2 years’ customer service experience in a high-pressure environment. 12 months’ administration and/or database experience; strong data entry skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel (intermediate level) Experience handling EFTPOS and cash during application/renewal processing. Desirable Experience in membership services, events, or not-for-profit environments. Familiarity with CRM platforms and reconciling daily takings. Working Hours Outside Show period: As required within core business hours 8:30am-5pm During the 2026 Sydney Royal Easter Show, commitment is essential for the full duration, including weekends and public holidays. Shifts may vary between 7:30 and 22:00.
