About The Role Reporting to the DC Manager, the Warehouse Operations Manager provides day-to-day leadership and oversight of the Inbound, Production, and site maintenance functions. This role is responsible for driving a Safety First culture, ensuring accurate inbound flow, efficient operations, and effective maintenance coordination for all automation and material handling equipment. The Warehouse Operations Manager leads teams to deliver exceptional service, optimise system performance, and embed continuous improvement across all warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and support Inbound and Production teams to achieve targets in safety, quality, service, and productivity. Oversee daily warehouse operations including inbound accuracy, stock integrity, and Goods-to-Person (GTP) production flow. Drive collaboration and clear communication across teams and shifts to ensure efficiency, performance, and seamless end-to-end service. Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all automation and equipment by coordinating maintenance, optimising system performance, and driving continuous improvement in throughput and reliability. Lead and develop team members through coaching, feedback, and performance management to build accountability, teamwork, and engagement. Foster a strong safety and people-focused culture that promotes communication, recognition, and leadership growth in line with COS’s Great Place to Work values. Champion a Safety First culture by ensuring compliance with WHS, CoR, and company standards through regular audits, investigations, and corrective actions. Drive continuous improvement by reviewing operations to enhance processes, layouts, and systems for greater efficiency and service quality. Support financial and operational performance by managing budgets, labour, and key cost drivers, using data insights to identify improvements and contribute to strategic planning and efficiency initiatives. About You Minimum 5 years’ experience in a warehouse or operations management role within logistics, FMCG or industrial sectors. Demonstrated experience leading multi-team operations including inbound, production, or automation environments. Strong working knowledge of warehouse systems (SAP, Manhattan or equivalent) and MHE/automation interfaces. Understanding of safety and compliance frameworks including CoR, DG, and WHS legislation. Proven ability to manage maintenance programs and coordinate with facilities or engineering partners. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with a focus on teamwork and service excellence.
