About the Position As a Teacher Aide at St Hilda’s School, you are responsible for supporting the classroom teacher to deliver exceptional educational programs by assisting with instructional activities, providing individualised student support, developing and maintaining resources, preparing materials and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment that enables all students to achieve their potential. All work undertaken as a Teacher Aide is performed under the direction and guidance of the teaching staff. About You 1. Experience & Knowledge: Experience working with children in educational, care, or community settings Understanding of child development and age-appropriate learning strategies Knowledge of inclusive education practices and supporting diverse learners (For Teacher Aide – Learning Enhancement) Knowledge of and/or experience implementing Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) on School Students with Disability processes. 2. Skills & Abilities: Ability to follow teacher directions and implement planned learning activities Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, teachers, and parents Capacity to assist students with varying abilities and learning needs Literacy and numeracy skills to support student learning Organisational skills and computer literacy to prepare materials and maintain classroom resources. 3. Personal Attributes: Patience, empathy, and genuine interest in student wellbeing Reliability, punctuality, and professional conduct and appearance Collaborative team player who contributes to school community Flexibility and adaptability to changing classroom needs Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries. 4. Professional Skills Excellent classroom management and organisational abilities Strong communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning platforms High level of ability to assess student progress and provide constructive feedback Certificate III in Education Support or equivalent. 5.
