About the Role Reporting to the Supply Superintendent, the Supply Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising day-to-day purchasing, warehousing, and logistics operations at our Southern Cross site. You will lead a small team of Supply and Warehouse Officers, ensuring all goods receipting, inventory control, and freight logistics are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with Barto Gold’s standards and procedures. This position is offered as a 6-month fixed term contract, with a strong likelihood of extension or becoming permanent based on performance and operational requirements. The role is pivotal in maintaining accurate stock levels, supporting mine and processing operations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the supply function Key Responsibilities • Lead, mentor, and coordinate the Supply and Warehouse team to ensure safe and efficient daily operations. • Oversee goods receipting, stock issues, and reservations in SAP to maintain accurate inventory data. • Supervise unloading, handling, and storage of materials in compliance with safety and segregation standards. • Coordinate freight and logistics, including urgent and scheduled deliveries, ensuring on-time site arrivals. • Conduct regular stocktakes, cycle counts, and variance investigations to maintain high inventory accuracy. • Support purchasing and expediting activities to ensure timely supply of critical materials and consumables. • Track and report warehouse KPIs and assist in developing business improvement and cost-saving projects. • Drive a proactive safety culture through toolbox meetings, hazard inspections, and positive leadership. About You You will bring strong supervisory experience in warehousing or supply chain operations within mining or a similar industrial environment. You are hands-on, detail-driven, and passionate about developing teams and improving systems. Essential Requirements • Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehousing, logistics, or supply operations. • Proven leadership or supervisory experience in mining or heavy industry. • ERP system experience (SAP preferred). • Strong communication, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills. • Current Australian Driver’s Licence and Forklift Licence. Desirable • Certificate IV or Diploma in Warehousing, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management. • LR/HR Driver’s Licence. • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Fiori. Understanding of Dangerous Goods and critical spares management.
