About the Role Locations Available: Ascot Park Brighton (x2) Dover Gardens Edwardstown Shifts – varied shift times available over a 24 hour, 7 days a week roster including passive and/or active sleepovers Permanent part time and casual contracts available Key Responsibilities: Provide high quality support to customers with complex high needs Daily living activity assistance Personal care Community participation Qualifications and Experience: Certificate III in Disability or Individual Support (or willing to enrol) Experience working with, and/or training in complex behaviour management and behaviour support plans is essential Experience with Medication Administration, PEG - Enteral Nutrition, Dysphagia and Catheter is desirable, but further training will be provided Understanding of the NDIS Quality & Safeguarding standards Current First Aid, CPR and Manual Handling Certificates NDIS workers screening and South Australian Working with Children screenings NDIS Online Modules Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license and willing to transport customers for community participation either in your own, or company vehicle Previous experience utilising intervention and de-escalation techniques to support emotional regulation Able to show initiative and work successfully both in a team environment and autonomously Demonstrated experience in supporting people with intellectual disabilities and a sound knowledge of supporting people with challenging behaviours is essential Passion, professionalism and integrity within their role A willingness to work with participants, fellow staff, and relevant professionals to support the participants goals Benefits Salary packaging benefits (up to $15,899 tax free) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Supportive, rewarding, and friendly work environment Relevant customer specific training provided to ensure you are set up for success to best support our customers Member led organisation – our board features members who actually receive our services, allowing those we support to shape our present and future A Little About Us: For 30 years, Enhanced Lifestyles has been delivering individualised, high-quality support across South Australia, empowering people with disabilities to live independently and make choices that matter.
