As a Street Sweeper Operator, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the streetscape in designated areas across the Whitsunday Region by safely and efficiently operating a motorised street sweeper and other related equipment. Safely operate a motorised street sweeper and other cleansing maintenance equipment as required. Clean streets, gutters, and respond to reports of large debris or hazardous spills. Attend traffic accident sites to clear debris and assist with hazardous material clean-up. Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs to ensure safe and reliable operations. Report any damage or hazards on council property, such as street signs, curbs, or road surfaces. Complete all required documentation, including daily timesheets and pre-start plant checks.
