The Role We are seeking a strategic and people-first People & Culture Operations Manager to lead our national Shared Services and Talent Acquisition teams. Reporting to the Head of People Operations & Talent, this newly created role will drive operational excellence, workforce insights, and scalable people services across our growing healthcare network. As the 2IC to the Head of People Operations & Talent, you will lead a large team of 10, drive operational excellence, and influence strategic workforce outcomes. This role also carries responsibility for data insights and process improvement, ensuring HR services are clear, consistent, and effective. You will play a key role in building a sustainable workforce through effective recruitment, onboarding, and full employee lifecycle management. Key Responsibilities This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has hands-on experience managing a large team of HR Operations in healthcare or similar settings Manage day-to-day operations across HR Shared Services and Talent Acquisition, ensuring seamless delivery of people operations tasks Lead the operational delivery of the Talent function, aligning recruitment processes with workforce needs and strategic goals. Champion HR systems (Dayforce), automation, and data integrity to improve service delivery and user experience. Deliver intuitive dashboards and workforce insights to the Executive Leadership Team to support planning and decision-making. Ensure compliance with employment legislation, awards, and internal policies, while leading audit readiness and risk mitigation. Drive strategic projects, workforce planning, and recruitment initiatives, including regional and remote hiring. Coach and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Oversee HR documentation, data management, and system optimisation to improve accuracy and efficiency. Partner with HRBPs and leaders to provide practical, compliant people solutions. Collaborate cross-functionally with Payroll, Legal, IT, and Clinical teams to ensure seamless service delivery. About You You are an experienced HR professional who is passionate about people and purpose. You bring: Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR operations and talent acquisition leadership within a large, complex organisation (healthcare preferred). Tertiary qualification in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field (essential). Proven ability to manage recruitment, performance management, and conflict resolution. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills. Strong understanding of employment legislation, HR systems, and compliance frameworks. Data-driven mindset with experience in reporting, analytics, and workforce insights. Exceptional leadership, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills. Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Dayforce) and vendor management is highly desirable. Strong leadership capability with a hands-on approach and a continuous improvement mindset.
