Job Description Smartcomm-Thunderhead Specialist Contract role – 6 months Location – Melbourne, VIC Rate – $492 per day including super Our client is a multinational corporation that provides information technology, consulting, and business process services to a range of clients across Government, Financial Services, Telecommunications, Retail and more. They are seeking an experienced Smartcomm-Thunderhead Specialist to join a dynamic team with one of their insurance clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong CCM background and deep expertise in SmartComm products to contribute to a high-impact environment. This role is open to candidates currently residing in Melbourne, including those on working holiday visas and individuals without local experience. Applicants must either be based in Melbourne or have confirmed plans to relocate. Required Experience: The successful candidate will demonstrate: Strong CCM background with excellent interpersonal and communication skills 7 years of SmartCOMM experience In-depth knowledge of SmartComm Suites of Products (development and support) Experience with SmartComm code deployment processes Hands-on experience with template authoring, graphical elements, layouts, stylesets, and variable data Proficiency in XML data schema preparation and mapping to business data objects Experience with Oracle and DB2 databases Familiarity with Control-M job scheduling Good to Have: Insurance industry experience Background or interest in document composition Knowledge of ServiceNow, JIRA, and Confluence Key Responsibilities: Provide BAU LO support for in-scope applications Ensure SLA adherence for incidents, requests, and problem tickets Coordinate DR testing, infrastructure/software upgrades, and daily health checks Manage small compulsory changes including impact analysis, coding, and deployment Collaborate with tech leads and IM for project handover and documentation Conduct root cause analysis with upstream/downstream systems Participate in MIM calls for P1/P2 incidents and follow up with permanent fixes Manage stakeholder communications Coach and mentor peers Support small change and tech debt prioritization How to Apply: Please upload your resume to apply and we will be in touch with further instructions for suitably skilled candidates.
