Full-time, continuing position Harness your expertise as Peer Learning Technologies Officer Base salary $89,755 17% superannuation About the opportunity The Peer Learning Technologies Officer provides, supports and promotes high quality client-focused service, at the assigned sites, by providing in-person and online advisory, outreach and support activities for the University’s coursework and research communities. The Peer Learning Technologies Officer provides support and guidance in line with agreed policy and procedures to the casual Peer Learning Advisor team to ensure delivery of consistent high-quality client-focused services to students. This position works closely with other peer services in the University and participates in organising events and online communities that support the development of cross disciplinary networks that advance the University’s research and student support agendas. The University Library reserves the right to transfer or rotate the location of this position to any of its Library sites based on workloads, professional development or business needs. Your key responsibilities will be to: participate in the development of high-quality client-focused frontline and user education services provide advice and support to deliver a Peer Learning technology service to the Library’s student community (including post-graduate coursework and research students) provide advice and support on the effective use of technologies such as 3D printing, podcasts and audio editing software actively contribute to University and Library culture and values. About you hold relevant tertiary qualifications with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training experience and interest in technology such as 3D printing and podcasts recent experience of working in a front-line, client-focused service or support role either in the context of education, IT or customer services demonstrated ability to positively contribute to a team, focusing on accomplishing team goals and assisting other team members as and when required willing to obtain or hold a current NSW Working With Children Check preferably current or recent postgraduate experience at the University of Sydney and familiarity with the University’s organisation and structures.
