Your role at St John of God Bunbury Hospital We are currently seeking Registered and Enrolled Nurses to join our dedicated and supportive team in the Renal Unit. St John of God Bunbury’s satellite Renal Units are widely recognized for delivering compassionate, high-quality renal dialysis care and treatment across the South West region. The Hospital operates two units: one located in Bunbury with eleven dialysis chairs, and another situated approximately 40 minutes further south in the coastal community of Busselton, offering six chairs. Both units provide services from Monday to Saturday. Each Renal Dialysis Unit is equipped with state-of-the-art Fresenius 6008 dialysis machines and the TDMS system for comprehensive data management. Fluid management and vascular access surveillance are supported by advanced technologies, including the BCM, Transonic, and Ultrasound systems. Nursing caregivers receive dedicated training to ensure the safe and effective use of these specialized tools. Nurses will be required to participate in a rotational roster working at either St John of God Bunbury Renal Unit or Busselton Renal Dialysis Unit. Flexible rostered hours and contracted hours are negotiable with suitable applicants. Casual, Part-Time and Full-Time positions are available. As a Registered Nurse you will: Assess plans, deliver and evaluate patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required. Promote and contribute to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital. Provide patient education and act as a resource where appropriate. Supports and supervises staff and students as required and within the scope of nursing practice. Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the ward and within the hospital. Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives. As an Enrolled Nurse you will: Work in consultation and co-operation with other care team members to provide care according to the physical and emotional needs of the patient and their families. Assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the day-to-day mental health and basic physical care requirements of patients. Participate in patient assessments, including mental health, risk assessment and management, history taking and developing comprehensive nursing care plans. Ensuring risks are documented and appropriate interventions, referrals are facilitated. Administer medication within scope of the Enrolled Nurse classification and in accordance with statutory and organisational guidelines under the direct or indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse. Advise and educate patients regarding treatment and recovery in relevant specialty. Utilise and promote reflective practice models, such as Clinical Supervision to promote best practice, heighten awareness and development of self and colleagues. We are seeking compassionate and committed Registered Nurses (RNs) and Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to join our team. All applicants must hold current AHPRA registration relevant to their role. Registered Nurses will demonstrate advanced clinical skills, sound knowledge of legislation and standards, and the ability to independently assess, plan, and manage complex care. RNs should have strong problem-solving skills, clinical judgement, and a commitment to leadership, quality improvement, and ongoing professional development. Enrolled Nurses will provide safe, effective care within their scope of practice under RN supervision. ENs should have relevant clinical experience, a solid understanding of hygiene, infection control, and manual handling, and a proactive approach to learning and teamwork. Both roles require excellent communication, a team-focused attitude, and a strong commitment to patient care and safety.
