Calling all Green thumbs We are seeking an organic gardening enthusiast to volunteer your time and knowledge of plants, mulch and flowers to grow organically in raised garden pots. You'll engage with people living in aged care, pottering in the garden, tending the plants, planting and growing vegetables and watering the gardens. There's no hard labour involved, just an opportunity to give back and share your love of gardening. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
