We’re now looking for a dedicated, hands-on Full-Time Animal Attendant working Tuesday to Saturday to join our passionate Heathcote Pet Hotel team in Sydney’s Southern Suburbs. This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll be cross-trained across all areas of our pet hotel – from caring for our four-legged guests to providing friendly customer service at reception. You’ll have opportunities to develop your skills, learn new aspects of the business, and progress your career within our national network. What you’ll be doing: Caring for boarding and daycare pets – feeding, grooming, enrichment Frequent cleaning and upkeep of facility to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety Health checks and general animal husbandry Supervising dogs and managing their behaviours to maintain overall wellbeing and safety Providing exercise and enrichment to pets Providing friendly service to pet owners Creating and distributing media content for our pet owners through videos and photos Ensuring accurute record keeping and entering information in our booking systems Assisting on reception – booking management, enquiries, payments, retail sales Supporting your team to ensure the best outcomes for our furry guests What we’re looking for: Previous experience working or volunteering with animals is preferred Certificate II/III in Animal Studies or related qualification is desirable but not essential Availability on weekends and school holiday periods Physically fit and comfortable working indoors and outdoors with pets of all sizes Confident communicators with a friendly, professional approach to customer service Reliable, positive team players who enjoy fast-paced, hands-on work Ability to work independently and willing to ask for guidance when needed Be committed to working safely and following instructions, policies and procedures at all times Available to attend a lawful unpaid work trial shift (operated within The Fair Work Ombudsman guidelines) Please note: This is a physically active role that requires the ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, bend, kneel, and handle animals (up to 50kg). You must be able to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, and comfortably interact with pets, team members, and customers.
