About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Tax Accountant to join a dynamic finance team. Reportinbg into the Treasury and Tax Team lead, you will play a key part in ensuring compliance with tax regulations, supporting tax planning initiatives, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organisation. This role offers exciting projects to get your teeth into, including automating the FBT process, reviewing and streamlining the GST process, and educating the divisions regarding Tax Effect Accounting. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and lodge corporate income tax returns, BAS, FBT, and other statutory tax obligations. Assist in tax planning and compliance to optimise tax efficiencies. Conduct tax research and provide insights on tax implications for business operations. Support the preparation of tax provisions for financial statements. Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies as required. Assist in managing tax audits and responding to queries from tax authorities. Stay up to date with tax legislation and ensure compliance with any changes. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide tax-related guidance. Lead initiatives to automate the FBT process for improved efficiency. Review and streamline the GST process to enhance compliance and accuracy. Educate divisions on Tax Effect Accounting to improve financial understanding and reporting. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA or CPA qualification (or working towards). At least 4 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment. Strong understanding of Australian tax laws and regulations. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
