Role Overview The Desktop Engineer will be responsible for delivering high-quality end-user computing support and maintaining the department’s Standard Operating Environment (SOE) across all Windows devices. This role is critical in ensuring stable, secure, and efficient desktop infrastructure through modern deployment, policy management, and automation practices using Microsoft Intune and SCCM. The successful candidate will join the ICT Operations Branch, supporting the department’s technology infrastructure and ensuring compliance with government security and operational standards. Requirements Essential Requirements Demonstrated recent experience in managing Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise environments. Proven experience in application packaging and deployment using Intune and/or SCCM. Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and configuration management. Advanced Level 3 troubleshooting capabilities for complex system and policy issues. Strong understanding of Windows 10/11 , Intune, SCCM, and Active Directory. Familiarity with ACSC Essential Eight and general ICT security compliance requirements.
