The Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) is seeking a strategic, audience-focused marketing professional to join our team as the Assistant Director, Marketing. In this role, you will drive campaigns, content and engagement activities to attract, engage and convert prospective students, supporting enrolment growth in line with CIT’s 10-year strategic plan . As the Assistant Director, you will: Manage the planning and execution of priority campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive enrolments. Oversee CIT’s social and digital channels, ensuring content aligns with brand and engagement objectives. Lead a team responsible for social and digital content production and channel management, and the creation of compelling student and alumni stories. Drive the growth and engagement of CIT’s social and digital channels, delivering content and campaigns that connect with diverse audiences. Provide strategic advice on campaign design and delivery, and identify emerging trends and technologies to enhance reach and engagement. Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture and contribute to the ongoing development of CIT’s marketing capability. What you'll bring Demonstrated experience in leading strategic marketing and student recruitment campaigns and projects within the tertiary education sector. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to create and manage engaging content across social and digital platforms. Experience managing campaigns, content calendars and analytics to inform continuous improvement. Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to negotiate and influence to achieve outcomes. High level of organisational skills, adaptability, and a commitment to CIT’s values and strategic goals. Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment. Eligibility/Other requirements: Highly desirable Tertiary qualifications in marketing or a related field. Experience managing social media channels in a tertiary education or government context.
