Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences Full-time, Fixed Term position Base salary will be in the range $93,491.78 - $100,296.97 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 6) Based at St Lucia Campus About This Opportunity We are seeking an experienced, motivated and highly organised Senior Administration Officer to support the effective and efficient operation of the Student Administration team in the Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences. The primary purpose of this position is to provide high-level support to the Manager, Student Administration in coordinating the timely and accurate completion of a range of student administration tasks and processes. The position will be responsible for the maintenance and streamlining of processes, while ensuring procedures are updated routinely. The position supervises staff within the Student Administration team and provides training, delegation of tasks and monitoring of progress for a variety of student administration tasks. The position assists with preparing and responding to requests made to the Associate Dean (Academic) on a range of student matters. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Provide accurate, timely advice on student administration matters to students, staff, and the broader community . Support decision-makers with policy and procedural guidance on student issues. Supervise, train, and guide Student Administration staff in daily operations. Handle complex student enquiries and provide expert advice. Coordinate administrative activities and respond to queries as directed by the Manager, Student Administration. Keep the Manager, Student Administration informed of operational activities and concerns. Strong ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure. Sound knowledge of university programs, policies, structures, and procedures, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge. High proficiency in administrative systems, particularly corporate and curriculum management platforms. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills . Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise initiative and sound judgement . Demonstrated leadership in supervising staff and fostering professional development in a service-oriented environment . Reliable, adaptable, and collaborative team member .
