National Head of Financial Institutions & Professions (FI&P) – Sydney or Melbourne Overview The National Head of Financial Institutions & Professions (FI&P) is a senior leadership role within Aon’s Specialty Solutions segment, responsible for shaping and driving the strategic direction of the FI&P portfolio across Australia. The FI&P vertical is the largest division of the Specialties Solutions segment, providing insurance and risk advisory services to clients in the financial and professional services industries, with a focus on complex, high-risk and regulated companies. Aon brings together risk and human capital to deliver industry insights, data and analytics, risk consulting, advice and insurance solutions to our clients to support their business goals and aspirations. The National Head of FI&P is a senior leadership position that leads the FI&P portfolio nationally and collaborates across the broader Specialties Solutions segment to drive growth, risk advisory, and broking services. The role offers the opportunity to drive growth by ensuring consistent and high-quality performance in retention, acquisition, and service delivery throughout the FI&P portfolio nationally. What The Day Will Look Like Develop and embed the Financial Services Group (FSG) business strategy, including cross-sell initiatives across solution lines Identify and pursue new business opportunities, lead tender responses and proposals, and contribute to the growth and retention of Aon’s FI&P portfolio Leverage Aon’s proprietary data and analytics to articulate competitive advantage and drive client acquisition Drive innovation by anticipating client needs and market dynamics, identifying opportunities for product development and market expansion Provide expert advice on insurance coverage, claims, emerging risks and regulatory changes affecting financial and professional sectors Maintain strategic relationships with insurers and underwriters, staying abreast of market trends, capacity shifts and product innovation Monitor and interpret industry trends, competitor activity and regulatory developments, and disseminate insights to internal and external stakeholders Represent Aon at industry forums and speaking engagements to elevate brand visibility and thought leadership in the FI&P space Build trusted relationships across the business, fostering collaboration and alignment with Aon United culture Lead a high-performing team through coaching, performance management and career development planning Manage P&L and margin performance, ensuring alignment with financial goals and strategic targets Lead and support operational changes resulting from restructuring activities, embedding agile practices and modern tools to enhance efficiency How This Opportunity Is Different As an Aon colleague, you will never be limited by your job title.
