My clients Elizabeth Street site is a standout location - high foot traffic, double-storey layout, and a team of around 15 casual staff. They pride ourselves on customer obsession, trend-setting fashion, and operational excellence. About the Role You will take full ownership of the store: front-line leadership, sales performance, operational discipline and team development. You'll report into the regional leadership team and be empowered to drive the business day-to-day in a high-energy, premium retail environment. Your Responsibilities Lead, coach and motivate a team of ~15 casuals (you'll work alongside 2-3 team members most days). Drive store sales, meet/exceed KPIs, conversion metrics, average transaction value, units per transaction and other performance indicators. Manage a unique double-storey format: approx. 60% of stock is upstairs , so you'll actively move between floors throughout the day. Oversee visual merchandising, stock replenishment, floor flow, seasonal resets and ensure the store always looks at its best. Develop rostering and wage cost plans and ensure staffing matches trading demand. Monitor stock levels, shrinkage, inventory accuracy and ensure smooth operations. Create an exceptional customer experience: you live the brand, coach your team to deliver, and ensure customers love to come back. Foster a team culture that's fun, motivated and driven by success. What We're Looking For Proven retail leadership experience (Store Manager or Senior Team Leader) in a high-volume environment. A commercial mindset: you understand sales metrics, KPIs, conversion, units and how to drive those. Ability to lead by example: you'll be on the floor, coaching, supporting, selling, while also managing operations. Comfortable with the physical demands of a double-storey layout - you're active, agile and organised. Excellent visual merchandising and stock control experience. Strong people skills: you inspire, build teams, mentor and get results through others. Based in or able to travel into the Melbourne CBD regularly. What You'll Get Competitive salary super.
