The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned payroll professional who is passionate about operational excellence, people and compliance to lead a highly experienced team with long tenures who provide a stable and capable foundation to lead from. You’ll have the scope to influence payroll strategy, drive process improvements, and play a key role within the senior leadership team. Responsibilities Manage end-to-end payroll processing for 2000 team members using Dayforce, ensuring accuracy and compliance Ensure timely and accurate submissions to the ATO, including Single Touch Payroll (STP) and other statutory reporting Oversee superannuation, leave, termination payments, workers' compensation, and employment-related tax obligations Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and bank and provide accurate reporting and payroll analysis to key stakeholders Lead, coach, and support a team of six payroll professionals, driving performance and continuous development Maintain and improve payroll systems, processes, and controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency Collaborate with HR, IT, and Finance to deliver process improvements and system upgrades Provide timely support for employee payroll queries, ensuring a high standard of customer service The preferred Candidate Minimum 3 years’ experience managing a payroll team in a high-volume environment, ideally within retail or multi-site operations Strong understanding of employment legislation, Awards, and Enterprise Agreements Proven leadership skills with experience in coaching and developing payroll teams Experience working with payroll and time and attendance systems Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for payroll reporting and analysis Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail under tight deadlines Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to continuous improvement Relevant tertiary qualifications in payroll, finance, human resources, or a related discipline are highly desirable On Offer $150,000 plus superannuation Performance bonuses EBIT bonuses Generous discount on products across all brands On site parking provided State of the art offices that will make you proud to work there Hybrid working options, three days in office and two days from home Extra flexibility to work from home during particularly busy times when you need 100% focus Fantastic team who are family friendly and get that ‘life happens’ and will support you along the journey Contact Daniel Jensen 0401 238 901 daniel@voyagerrecruitment.com.au
