The Role As an APS6-equivalent Development Program Officer, you will play a key role in supporting program implementation, governance and administration. Working closely with the Assistant Director (Development Program Manager), you will help deliver development initiatives and ensure strong financial, contractual and operational management. Key responsibilities include: Supporting program implementation and administration, including through relevant DFAT systems Assisting with procurement, budget and contract management, and milestone tracking Supporting monitoring, evaluation and reporting to ensure program effectiveness Liaising with implementing partners and service providers to maintain high standards of delivery Providing secretariat support to governance and decision-making forums Contributing to a positive, collegiate team culture that values quality, collaboration and accountability The Ideal Person You are an experienced program officer or coordinator with strong organisational and communication skills, and a sound understanding of government processes. You bring structure, reliability and initiative to your work, with the ability to balance compliance with practical delivery. You will excel in this role if you: Have experience managing or supporting development or government programs Understand procurement, financial and contract management processes Are confident using systems to support administration, reporting and recordkeeping Communicate clearly, write well and manage multiple priorities effectively Build relationships easily and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Are motivated by purpose and professional integrity Experience with AidWorks is highly desirable. A security clearance at NV1 level is required, with NV2 preferred.
